Thanks for the encouragement - it took a while to see progress but feels like the home straight now!

Should hopefully be ready for a Nats visit, although I know that falls in rather peak hols time...

Ivor - thanks for the tip about the grille/painting, makes sense.

Cheers

Time for another update. Steve at SPM in Byfleet has continued to work minor miracles while we chase parcels from Oz with hard to source bits... Still waiting for the front screen after a disaster with the first two - when we opened the box that had been sitting in my shed for 18 months, both were c...

518 queries

From my novice starting point with Torqueflites I am trying to get to grips with what the best options are for controlling the 518 (sourced from Duncan) that is going into my 360 ci Aussie VH Charger. We have just about solved the physical fitting problem but now need to get it functioning... Any ad...

No updates for a while - we've been making gradual progress on the Charger though. Now have the 360 motor finished and that will be mated with the 518 box I got from Duncan - might need some advice there Duncan please... Gone with a blue that is close to the original we found under the poor black re...

Hi Pete Good work! Been out of forum circulation for a while... My VH Charger JPM 3L is still undergoing restoration but we are getting there. Now has a newly fettled 360 motor and hopefully a 518 box soon, sourced from Duncan but still with a bit of work to do... There were some pics on my intro th...

Continuing to make (slow) progress. Body is coming on well with most of the main work done. eBay has provided us with a solid 360 engine that is now going to be refreshed back to rude health. It came attached to a 727 transmission which we were hoping to use but the output end of the box is obviousl...

Thanks Guys

Yes, Ivor I am now feeling pretty partial to the original blue hue...

As you suggest Dave I think a serious clearout of that plenum is in order. Dave, do I remember rightly that when we talked at Brooklands you thought you might know where a grille could be had?

Thanks Steve

So far nothing too unexpected - worst rust was down in driver's footwell where the metal dash panel fixes on the side. Bad corrosion there...!
