VIN and/or Fisher body tag should tell you if it's genuine but there's plenty out there with vinyl roofs so this wouldn't be a concern for me.

I think you'd need to see it in the metal to make a "judge" ment on whether it was worth the money but Id think anything less than 10k woudl be a steal. If ...
