Re: Facebook rant

I have had a break from my Dart project recently, but still have looked in every so often. I've now re joined and hopefully make some more progress, when my Cortina project gets further ahead. I love the Forum, and The topics give me the renewed enthusiasm sometimes need to get on with things. The F...

Re: Ford F100 getting closer

Hi Neal, This is an old thread, it's sold, I only kept it 8 months. It was too big, it only just fitted into the barn, and I had to climb into the pick up bed, to get from one side of the barn to the other. That wasn't going to work , so I had to move it on. I replaced it with a Holden SS Ute that I...

You are doing better than me, My slipping gearbox has been on the bench for 3 years this Christmas. I just haven't got to starting it yet.

Re: must get on with Dart !!!!

I sold the Volkswagen T25 earlier this year, and recently sold the 2005 Mustang.
So hopefully less things to tinker with.
However I did buy a Mk1 Cortina a few months back, that came up at the right price.

Re: 904 transmission slippage

The Alto Kit, Blue has suggested is the one I imported, it has all the parts you will need. I bought the big kit with all the bushings etc..
Sadly my 727 box is still sat on the bench, a year and a half later waiting to be rebuilt.

Re: Cam Question

If you wouldnt mind telling me which cam did you go for from Hughes?
Was it the Premium Cam kit or the Cam, Lifter and Spring Kit?

Hughes Whiplash Cam, lifter, and springs.
It is unfortunately very expensive compared to the comp cams EX268 cam, lifter, and springs kit

Re: Cam Question

Hi Dave, I've just imported a Hughes cam kit for my dart. As I am no longer going the stroker route, I don't need the comp cams xe268 cam kit I imported . If you are going for that cam kit, I'm sure I could sell it to you a lot cheaper than you importing one. It's brand new, never opened to box. The...

Re: Jeep rear axle

Normally whining diff is worn bearings, either the carrier bearings or pinion bearings. If that is the case, a good UK bearing supplier should be able to supply. You need to strip and inspect. If you don't feel its in your capability a gearbox/axle preconditioner may be able to help. Bexhill gearbox...

Auto TF727

I'm sure I asked this question last year , when I first took the auto box out of my Dart , for a rebuild. Well it looks like I may well be starting in imminently. So the question that I can't find the previous answer to was, What lubricant should be used when replacing the rubber o rings, and seals....
