Thanks Blue...Looks like I will have the sump off and clean/renew the pump. I normally get most of my engine spares from Rockauto. Can you recommend anyone over here who might have a pump/spring kit/filter/
gaskets in stock?
Thanks
Mick

stock 318 oil leak
Hi All, Have a 68 Dodge D100 with a stock 318 engine. It hasn't been started for 6 months. Started it up today and noticed oil pouring out from underneath. Stopped engine straight away. It looked like the leak was coming from the filter. The filter wasn't that tight so spun it off thinking the rubbe...

CPP power steering kit for Dodge truck
Hi all, I've just fitted a CPP power steering kit to my 68 Dodge pickup truck. The kit comes with box, hoses ,rag joint, fittings, etc. You supply your own pump. I have a 318 engine and fitted a Saginaw pump that I had originally got for my Chevrolet Impala. The kit is pretty easy to fit...you do ne...

Power steering pump and bracketry
Hi there, I need a power steering pump and correct brackets for my 68 Dodge truck. I've put an ad in the wanted section. I have just got a power steering kit from CPP and thought I had the correct pump and brackets but seems not. The pulley won't line up with the other pulleys... so I've either got ...

Appreciated...
Dave 81... Thanks again, have ordered a dual spring kit for it. I took the choke off, did as you suggested and fired up ok. Stuttered a bit but after 30 seconds or so was ok. Dave 999 thanks for the ebay links, I'll leave it like it is for a bit but if any problems I'll try and bend the choke rod. I...

Filter
Hi guys, Advice taken and filter moved and replaced with a metal one. The carb is a Carter and as I mentioned before the choke is dodgy. From cold, unless I reconnect the choke it won't start. It looks like the choke rod is too long because the choke won't fully open once the engine gets hot. If I d...

318 help and advice needed please
Hi there, I have just bought a Dodge d100 pickup with a 1985 318 engine in it. The engine doesn't have any leaks and no dodgy noises. The inlet manifold/carb has all the emission stuff disconnected. The choke on the carb doesn't work. I am going to put an electronic ignition on it. I was wondering i...
