Fill it with white vinegar is one popular method, leave for a few days and wash out & dry. I'd go for a new tank if funds permit,a lot less hassle in the long term. Yeah new tank is £200 plus £150 shipping from Rock auto and nothing to spare at the mo due to buying an engine :( I'll get tank out...

How to clean out rusy old fuel tank??

I've had a quick search but can't find much...... I've got a very rusty fuel tank (internally!) I need to clean and I assume seal. Is there a guide anywhere or anyone got any pointers on what to do? I think I'm sucking up rust and crud, blocking fuel filters causing me to breakdown 5 times on Sunday...

Got in ok, you just pay £10 for car and two people. Any more people are a further £10 each. Had a good day :) Yup really sorry I thought it was booked entry only. Which is why I did. I'm sure previous years you couldn't just turn up? What's the point of booking if you can just pay on the day? Just ...

Id like to go as its near to me. We have the grandparents staying this weekend so not sure what's happening, plan is to go on Sunday as weathers looking tip top. We haven't pre booked though. Is it right you can still enter, just have to pay the normal gate fee? It's pre book only and they're quite...

I'm booked and going as it's local.

Forecast is saying dry but if I wake up and it's peeing down I might just stay in bed though ;)

Ok well looks like I won't be risking Hilltop services then! It's a 6 hour round trip for me too so probably for the best.

I've put a beg steal or borrow wanted ad in the wanted section so hopefully something will come along!

Cheers for advice all!

mmmmm So could it be realistically done for £2k? That's including finding an engine as I need to be able to use mine while the jobs being done. I'm just after a "one stop"solution. I used to do all my own spanner work but really don't have the time now. Shame as I thought I was on a winner...

I can't really comment beyond the fact they've been there years and tend to do trucks. What is it being bought? What is it advertised as? 360 is a really good motor to build. Just fit higher comp Pistons a 262 or 268 cam and you're good, they have 340 type heads as well. Rebuilt 360 that would be d...

Certainly talk the talk and look decent enough but who knows.
It's the only place I've found that have a 360 ready to rebuild at a gid price I think.
My plan is to get it couriered on a pallet to me then find someone local ish to fit 😉

Hilltop services Devon

Hi all

Anyone had any experience of Hilltop services in Devon?
I'm considering buying a rebuilt motor from them and just wondering if they're alright or if it'll be just a washed and painted lump.
Quite a comprehensive build list with most things renewed or worked on.
Anyone?
