So, had a look under the dash and the cable wasn't connected to the speedo.
The plastic clip thing was half missing, managed to just push it back onto the the speedo, the result being that mileage gauge now works but the seedo needle now only works in reverse and bounces all over.

Just curious as to the whereabouts of a '68 Roadrunner I sold back in 2006 is nowadays.
It was, I believe the 2nd Mopar to be owned by Dave Billadeau and is shown on the 'about Dave' page of his website. It was painted a kind Petty blue colour at the time.

Hi guys, just looking for a few pointers.. Bought a car and the speedo is stuck on 110, is there a specific reason for this or could it be any number of causes?

Thank you for the comments.. The '71 got totaled when I left it on a steep road to run into the shop to buy a paper early in the morning on my way to work.
