Re: My 73 Barracuda build
Thanks for the advice guys :thumbright: its definitely worth considering but I'll see how much clearance there is once I get some weight in the car. There are 4 mounting locations where the front of the spring mounts. Hopefully with those along with the shorter hangers, there will be enough clearanc...

Re: My 73 Barracuda build
Apologies for being silent for some time but a couple of health issues unfortunately put progress with the car on hold. Things are getting better though and we have managed to make some head way. Since the last post, I've managed to get the rear wheels banded 2 inches to allow for some wider rubber....

Re: Registering car from the usa
A quick update, after speaking to couple of people at HMRC the NOVA was completed when the car entered the UK. HMRC confirmed this using the VIN, however they wont forward me any confirmation though? They say that the DVLA will check once the V5 application is submitted. does this sound correct? If ...

Re: Registering car from the usa
As far as I know, it was done once the car entered the country. I would of thought that the car wouldn't of been released from the docks without the duty being payed?

Re: A833 input shaft
Thanks for the info guys :thumbright: I'll spend some time over the weekend taking a bunch of measurements (the battery in my vernier has packed up) I knew it wouldn't be as straight forward as I hoped. The bell housing mates to both the engine block and the gearbox independently. With the be...

A833 input shaft
Has anyone had an issue with mating an A833 to a 383HP engine? The input shaft seems to be too long and won't recess into the crank enough :banghead: Are there different size input shafts available for the A833? Has anyone machined out the crank to accept the longer input shaft? Has anyone machined ...

Re: My 73 Barracuda build
Thanks for the support guys, it's great to be part of a community that's supportive :salute: Over the last couple of weekends I've managed to prime the interior of the car. I used a zinc based etch primer by Bonda. it covered really well by using 2 light dust coats and a final wet coat diluted with ...

Re: My 73 Barracuda build
Not much in the way of updates at the moment. I've managed to get the 4speed tunnel mounted and welded in place, and the parts for the transmission finally arrived. Dan at Brewers performance was incredibly helpful with sourcing a bell housing and the necessary hardware to get it mounted. I'm still ...

Re: My 73 Barracuda build
Hi guy's, thanks for the support so far and kind messages. I thought it was time to give a little update on the project. The body work is taking up a huge amount of time with panel beating and body filler. The hour's put in now though will pay off when the final coat of paint goes on  My bigges...

My 73 Barracuda build
DSC_2783.JPG Hi guys, I've been on here for a couple of years now since I bought my first Mopar and thought I should give some insight into how my project is going. I've always been into American muscle cars, with my dad having an array of different cars over the year's (primarily Mustangs, but als...
