Re: Axle rebuild
Well I finally got round to taking the pumpkin out,and LSD looks wrecked, like it's slipped round in its case. How this has happened is a mystery cos it has a 318 in it,but then again the boot lid is covered in racing and parts stickers from the 80s and 90s. It will be on its way to Hauser next week ...

Turn signal switch-WTH
Can anyone explain how the hell you test a turn signal switch on a 79 d150? I had all lights working except the drivers side stop light, now i have no indicators at all,but that single brake light still works. Pull the hazard switch, all indicators flash apart from drivers rear, but indicate right at t...

Buying an engine to rebuild
I currently have a 318 la engine in my car,it runs fine(now) but i want more power.I was going to rebuild it to the specs i saw on a website, where the 318 ended up at about 400hp,but after reading up on it,it appears i would be better off buying a 318 magnum or 360 magnum and going to town on it. I ...

Axle rebuild
Can anyone recommend someone in the north east, who rebuilds rear axles?
I have an 8 3/4 axle that has developed pinion bearing noise,so rather than buy all the stuff to rebuild the axle, including the tools,i thought i would see how much it would cost to get a pro to rebuild it.
Im in Sunderland.

Sadly i don't know either of them, the bloke i bought the truck from, bought it from him,and has owned it and showed it at events for the last 10 years, and he has had it down the strip a few times, but he emailed last night to finally reply to my question of what oil it had in it and would you believe ...
