Re: 1968 charger fuel tank brand
I used a grinding nut spanner for the locking ring on my Capri sender.
May or may not work on the Charger though!

Re: My very last restoration!!!
Yeah it is very rewarding when it starts coming together and looking more like a car again!
It's funny you call your car the Turd because that's exactly what I've been calling mine!

Re: My very last restoration!!!
I'll keep that Silco primer in mind. Thanks.
I feel your pain when it comes to restoring cars. I'm putting mine back together and it's painfully slow as I'm having to restore a lot of the parts before reinstalling them and I'm having to be so careful I don't scratch the paint.

Looking good.
Wouldn't mind trying that primer out. Do you have any more details on it?

Back at it already?newsatten wrote: Sun Dec 14, 25 5:29 pm Back on the turd after a few weeks off
Moulding a new front spoiler is next up
Thought this way I could get a very good fitting front wing
And factor in a couple of subtle changes
I'm interested in learning how you go about making the spoiler!

Damn. What a collection of tools!
Would love to own that lot but sadly I'm having to make do with the cheap crap that you speak of!

Re: Midland Performance Centre (Spencer Ashley)
A bump for what it's worth after 2 plus years.
I think budgie used to know him as he worked just round the corner from Midland Performance Centre.
Duncan (Cannonball) bought the Charger from him and then sold it to me.

I've just caught up on this thread and have to agree with MattH.
You're getting loads done and to a very high standard as well.
Most impressive!

Probably one more blocking session before the last primer coats,

It’s almost complete now apart from interior and glass
Still looks as good as the day it was coloured
I think we need more info and pics!
