Re: Blue's Barracuda

At least it's piece of mind on not running lean. Great insight and mods as always buddy.

I believe 2026 is supposed to be a faster year anyway.... ;)

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

That was going to be the lot for this year, but over Xmas, whilst window shopping online, I found a set of front wheels that I've always liked which would be perfect for racing. They just happened to be in the UK, in small bolt pattern, that the pre 73 A bodies had.

A geat believer in fate, I ...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

A few more things done today as it's my last chance before Dragstalgia.

Had a Grant wheel on the car for years now, but with the cage and being of the larger size, access and egress is interesting to say the least. So opted to go for a removable wheel. Grant does a kit that allows retention of the ...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

Pics...I have no idea why it's rotated them 90 degrees. Tried changing its orientation on the phone, still the same.

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

Thanks guys.
Yeah, certain parts of the cage will be interesting to say the least.

Decided as the weather was playing ball to do the next stage today.
I'll do the interior upgrades after the summer is over, but wanted to do a few things as the carpet is now gone. Mainly wanted to get rid of the ...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

10.0 cage that's been installed

Marc built it to so that the rear windows can still be wound down and if I elect to, the rear seat can be reinstalled.
Really happy with the result.

Harness bolts have arrived today, so need to get those in to get the belts done. Prior to that I'll do some prep work ...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

Well the next stage is done.
Big thanks to Huxley Motorsports. Drove the 30 miles home on twisty country roads. It's certainly helped stiffen things up.

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

Well not a bad start to the year. Managed to get the slicks and exhaust sorted just prior to the Nostalgia Nationals.
Nostalgia Superstock weekend gave me 10 runs only to be dumped out at E1, which seems to be a trend of mine.

Slicks have given me a little more consistency, which is great with ...

Re: Blue's Barracuda

Sorry to see this mate.
Obviously know the pain, so hope you are back up and running for Dragstalgia.

It's interesting to see that it looks like an almost identical failure to mine. Nobody likes metallic trans fluid!

Re: Capri 2.8 injection

My old car back in 2003. Screenshot_20231018_231934_Samsung Internet.jpg

Bought it for £1700 im 2001 as it sat in that photo and sold it three years later for £2350.

Did nothing but feed it fuel and polish the thing.
One of the few I wish I had kept and no, I don't like to think what a 2.8 ...
