Re: Phelonic Carb Spacer
That makes more sense ! The tiny opening looked v odd
I got stuck once when mine jammed closed - car wouldnt run at all. Always assuming the absolute worst it turned out to be just 'poke the flaps open'. Doh !

Re: Local meet / coffee info ?
Thanks both - yes, I was afraid of that.
I've managed to avoid facebook/meta so far (like a lot of us that work in IT) but I'm really missing out on 'the scene'.
I'll give it some thought how to access without selling my soul to the data-slurping-monster ! Thankyou !

Local meet / coffee info ?
Quick question -
Where do you all get your more local info from ?
I mean the Sunday morning coffee meets or similar.
I am not on Facebook etc so I am guessing it might be there ?
Where is the ‘social action for car geeks’ posted these days ? I am a bit out of touch…

Re: Rapids 80's photos
I love these old pics of the cars.
They have so much history and really we’re not meant to be around still. As blue says, age related plate changes, paint, etc…
I mean I k ow mine was in a ‘79T plate and was gold from factory, then blue, then grey… it’s at least 2 cars haha - triggers broom rolls ...

Re: 3 birds 1 owner
Sorry gurus - learning here.
Why would a 69 500 be more desirable than a Daytona ? Surely the Daytona was the evolution of a 500 but one that won a lot more ? Plus the whole legend of 'so ugly they were left sitting in showrooms' and 'first 200mph lap' etc etc ?
Genuine question - I dont know !

Re: Holley Sniper
So.. Here's a question...
The sniper is still sitting here. With the dizzy, coil, all the electronic gizmos.
I now have my new engine courtesy of mr Billadeau - and its epic - Car is everything I wanted it to be. Its running a stripped out (like no choke, external filters etc) brand new holley750 ...

Re: EBay round up
Nice.
Had seen some of them ( the yellow 70).
What struck me the most was that the gen2 charger views are 350 odd in 24hrs and the others were 50-150
I mean I geddit obviously - haha - my taste also - but it’s just interesting that they continue to fascinate.

Re: billet ally thermostat housing ??
Me too. Stock gasket. ( actually used gasket paper cut to size once and that was fine too - face was so well machined)
