Yeah but if you filled the boot completely and shut the lid tight you would have a hell of a cruise range as well as better weight distribution! :P

Just trying to work out what you are doing Kev.

Is a fuel cell to fit inside that shape or are you making the trunk floor into a fuel tank?

I think you have covered all the options pretty well Adam. I am scraping the bottom of the ideas barrel here but maybe something I list will ring a bell with you the next time you look at it? I think it is going to end up as an electrical problem myself. Bad coil to dizzy lead maybe. It sounds like ...

Trust you to have the right tool for it Ivor! You with your valve cutting bits and big shed etc! :D I have never even seen one of those before. Where would you buy such a tool? I quite fancy one now even though I don't plan on doing any suspension work! I would just want to show it to people...

There have been times when I have wellied ball joints for a couple of hours with no joy whatsoever. Until I can barely fift the hammer. It can be SO frustrating. I have walked away, had a rest, gone back, taken a deep breath, and BANG suddenly they go and you wondered why you had been having so much...

A google search does not bring up a huge amount on them. No-one seems to have much info on them except they are truck (not motorhome) heads.

I cannot see them listed in anything I have. All the passenger car B and RB heads used 2.080/1.740 valve sizes through those years so I see no reason why these would be any different. However the 'old' 413s used a 1.6 exhaust valve. Being mainly for low rpm use it could be that they have small volum...

I wish I could see what type of cap I have now. I had that problem of the catch can filling with water all the time and me having to keep topping up the radiator. Fitting running a pipe to the bottom of the can just sorted the problem in one easy go. I thought it was worth a try and was delighted wi...

Just so non-electrical people understand what I just told Sandy. If all the accessories in your car pull 30 amps when all working at once then a 30 amp alternator will be able to supply all that current and still put out 14 volts. However if you added a shed load of power accessories and you now wan...

I don't think you need a bigger one sandy. Current is controled by demand not rating of the alternator.

I have told Linda to adjust the regulator she already has (I think the old mechanical ones are adjustable) and to see how it goes. I think it will be alright now it has been 'run in'.

Ivor, you really must remove your high heels when in the car. They are playing havoc with the headliner!
