Have you verified the timing ? if so jet up a couple on the back for wot. The car shouldn't detonate on those numbers, unless you've got really bad quench. JMO but i think the carb is a little small for your car.

Alloy heads on a steel block requires 0.006 tighter than steel heads when set cold.

Good mods for a big car like yours. If it's stock stroke you'll need aftermarket heads and a decent size cam to get 475 hp. My challenger's run 11.83 at 113mph and i'd say that's around 420.

Dont get the innovate, i swapped the battery in my challenger and the guage took a dump. Checked the connections and the earth all good, just wont come on.

So you're running 0.016 " ? I would take the rocker covers off, check the lash and look for any interference or signs of damage. As Drew says, it sounds like it's misfiring.

Can you hear it in neutral as well as in gear ? Are you sure it's not a header leak ?

It sounded like the car was spinning a lot. Is that a 302, what sort of power and how high do you rev it ?
