Finally ran my slingshot (non-mopar content)
Hi haven't been on here much since I sold the Dart and the Barracuda project stalled, but did manage to get a couple of half passes in my PITA slingshot project last month. Someone made a vid so I thought I'd stick it up just in case anyone's interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU9QYkdmvj0 n...

sorry I missed everyone, most of my time was with an interested punter showing him round the Dart, then I came back in as everyone else was leaving! Still, bought a massive Record vice for £20, some fuel hose and clips, and a steering wheel for the workshop wall for a fiver, so reasonably successful...

Interesting. I've got a David Vizard book on Ch*vy tuning and his theory is that you should start from LSA and calculate from there - he is of the opinion that cam makers know that we will always buy cams that are a bigger duration than we actually need, and so they usually increase the LSA to help ...

This is a clever rear set up
http://www.hotrod.com/features/1412-bolt-in-six-link-rear-suspension-for-66-79-chrysler-a-bodies/ Probably costs a fortune, but all bolt in so good for the UK given our rules about chopping the chassis about. Funnily enough, I'd been trying to work out whether using longitudinal Watt's links like th...

Thanks Matt - will ping the details over when I get home. Dom, the DVLA advised me to go ahead with an MoT knowing the full facts and didn't mention needing a NOVA, but as you say, could well be an issue once I've MoT'd it. But then I would have thought it is a reasonable argument to show the custom...

Re: help with registering Barracuda?
i reckon so long as you have the vin no the easiest way is get a letter from matt explaining what the vin decodes it as tell dvla it was an import from yrs ago but paperwork is lost and that you are willing if you havre to, to pay the duties on it at a value of say $2,000 at the 5% and they will so...

I used to tell myself that if it does turn out to be impossible to register, then as long as it isn't stolen, I won't mind and it will just be a race only car, not a road legal one. But having spent large amounts of this year pointlessly towing the slingshot back and forth from racetracks, I'm reall...
