sorry, had to go off and do some work ;) the build-up in the Hot Rod book uses standard 360 crank and rods, but some speed-pro 318 pistons with the top machined off them. I don't think they were anything fancy, but they only took 0.100 off the piston but it should logically be .250 (ish) higher, so ...

Mopar 350 small block
has anyone here had any experience of these? http://www.speedomotive.com/mopar_318_to_350_stroker.htm I'm thinking of ways to get round my broken-block-bought-on-ebay fiasco, and I was wondering if anyone has built one of these? The shipping makes it prohibitive, but I've got an article on how it's ...

The cracks are very small, they literally look like they just sit on the surface, but as you say, I d...

Cheers, my 318 block's ok - I was hoping to replace it with a 360. I might put my 318 back together and build the 360 over time (I've got another block that should be useable with some work) but it depends on how I get on with the flywheel. I'm just trying to come up with a plan based on getting the...

flywheel cracking
Pulled the 318 out of my Dart this weekend and saw that despite the cover plate and friction disc looking good, the flywheel has lots of tiny cracking marks in the surface. I really don't like the idea of a flywheel coming apart near my feet, so was wondering if this is a safe thing to have skimmed ...
