help with registering Barracuda?

Hi Chaps When I bought my Barracuda (well, most of a Barracuda) it had no paperwork, supposedly because the two previous owners were only interested in building full on race cars and hadn't bothered. That story may well not be true, in the same way as the rebuilt engine and the 8.75 axle weren't eit...

Team Starfish was the Chrysler entry into the 1966 Trans Am race series - Chrysler engineer Scott Harvey oversaw it and Richard Petty raced with them at least once.

That background Barracuda is a replica of the original cars:

yeah, problem is I don't want to shell out or put the work in and end up with something that doesn't meet the rules, but even working out what the rules mean is a challenge :D Also, would be much cheaper to build a 360 than a 273 as much more is available off the shelf, but then there would only be ...

so, not really much to update as I spent a lot of time on the slingshot this summer and have had some health issues, so not a lot of actual work apart from pulling the 360 out. However, I've accumulated a lot of the bits I need - rad, fan, and 273 from Terry, a complete K-H disc set up, new screen, ...

That is fantastic. I've always liked their mad styling but only drove one recently and it was much, much better than I expected it to be, far better than a fibreglass car on ancient Austin suspension with a big block mopar has any right to be! Also wish I'd bought one when they were cheap. Would lov...

If you're thinking of a stroker build I'd recommend this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Build-Big-Inch-Mopar-Small-Blocks/dp/1613250126 some of the detail is out of date, but it does a good job of outlining what power and torque to expect, the limits of the stock parts etc and has bunch of example bu...

I've only got experience of the Addco bars, and it's not worth the saving as although the bars themselves are ok, the bracketry and bolts are all the cheapest rubbish you'd get from a hardware store, and not designed at all well, so by the time they've fallen to pieces (and in my case ruined a weeke...

sorry, just an assumption cause it was on the mopar site! substitute coil springs for torsion bars then, the same is still true.

also depends on how stiff your front torsion bars are already. you might want to think about stiffer T-bars if your car is under-endowed in this area and as Dave says, if you fit a heavy bar, balance it with a read as well. My old Dart had front and rear bars and HD T-bars and handled pretty darn we...

A word of warning - a few years ago I had two Draper stands fail in the space of ten minutes due to faulty manufacturing on the castors - the centre pins that hold the ball races in place hadn't been formed correctly. I had bought one, then cause I worked for a car mag Draper offered to send me anot...

cheers chaps, will try those options - I had looked at modifying one Anton but was concerned about getting the taper angle right, good to know you've done it without problems
