Re: status - Help ! - Morgans 68 Charger. Engine #3...
Order the combined Lokar throttle & kick down, got one on my 440 and works a treat. Some don't like the kick down cable, but mine works as it should now I have adjusted it, you must follow the set up instructions to the letter ! I fitted an added a return spring to the gearbox valve lever as rec...

Re: Front Drum to Disk& Booster conversion 68 Charger
Hi Pete Thanks, I am not looking for brakes comparable to my daily, just an improvement on what I have, which require the leg strength of Arnold Schwarzenegger to bring her to a stop. I have had the drums off and all is good and correctly adjusted so not much more I can do with the old set up. Class...

Re: Front Drum to Disk& Booster conversion 68 Charger
Hi
Are we saying with the Willwood set up I will not need a brake servo ? I have Magnum 500 wheels, what is the largest Rotors I can have, or should I say what is the most economical price wise for my use.
Thanks

Front Drum to Disk& Booster conversion 68 Charger
Hi Guys Time to upgrade, not wanting to spend fortunes £750 no more idealy. Seems to be a few kits available, is there any real performance difference between slotted grooved to solid steel rotors.Do I need bias adjustment, most kits seem to have this facility ? I am only using for general road use ...

Re: What did you do to your Mopar today?
Hi Blue
I hear what you say, done correctly maybe, but not like this.Final picture looks better. Seems a very poor original design,no way to seal the retainer cap bottom surface to the block other than with RTV. I wonder how they did it in 68 ?

Re: What did you do to your Mopar today?
Fitted the Mancini rear crank oil seal on my 440 with motor still in the car. Crank seal bean leaking since I bought the car. The seal had been replaced in the last few years so the rope seal had long gone. The seal was good with no visible wear, but no side seals ! side seal grooves had been gummed ...

There's also the AACI open nationals at Billing Aquadrome Friday 26th - 28th April always a good event and turnout of American Classics. I will probably go Saturday and Bicester on Sunday.

Re: Kick down setting 68 Charger
Hi Played around with throttle setting on the carb as it was holding the tickover high, once sorted Adjusted the kickdown all as the Lokar instructions, full travel on throttle and full travel on kickdown cable. Lever on the box didn't have a return spring ,so I fitted one.as Blue suggested, Took he...

Re: Kick down setting 68 Charger
Thanks Blue.
With the kick down cable free off the carb, when I pull on it I can feel good resistance and it readily returns back as if it has a spring, although not been underneath to check.
