My dome light bulb was in the glove box when I got my car so I refitted it and noticed it stayed on all the time and got very hot and burned very bright too.

Derek looked at it and discovered it had been fitted with the wrong bulb? (twin contact point instead of single). Might be worth checking.

Re: Importing into uk from USA

PlymouthGTX wrote:So...

We have now discovered that the Spanish Gov. will want a total tax of 50% of the cars value for it to become Spanish registered.

What would it cost to import into UK?

Many thanks
Nowhere near 50% that's for sure!

from memory it's 0% import duty and 5% VAT, that's it.

Anyone Fancy A Nice Hellcat? (1:10 Scale R/C Car)!

Wasn't sure where to put this so it's in the 'Cars For Sale' section!

Year One sells a kit for this:

Looks easy to copy rather than shipping it in from them.

Any US eBayers on Here? (I Need a Big Favour)!

I collect motorcycle brochures and have been after the 1973 Triumph Hurricane one for some time. This guy has a real nice one for sale but won't sell overseas. I've contacted him and asked but he is adamant he won't sell outside of the US. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-1973-TRIUMPH-HURRICANE-X75-...

Best car transporter service I have ever used was the guy recommended by Anton to collect my car for some servicing. Can't remember his name but excellent service, truck was huge and in a like new condition, bloke was very careful and very reasonable. Perhaps Anton can post details?

Don't change anything until you've driven it. I have a 440-6 pack with 4:10 gears and it's not a problem. Okay you sit on the motorway at 60-70mph but why would you want to go any quicker? Sit back and enjoy the ride! :thumbright:
