Thanks for the replies fellas. Lost out on the car anyway. By the sounds of it , it's more expense and hassle to make it worth it. The car was in BC over on the west coast. The seller was willing to drive it into the US to aid shipping from Oakland. Could see problems with US customs shipping a Cana...

Hope everybody has a great weekend. Don't forget some pics for us who can't make it.

The standard Mopar set up is very unreliable and outdated. This is one of the reasons I have been fitting Modern Denso alternators to everything I've had my hands on for years now. They are rock solid reliable and charge at a higher rate than the old Mopar set up. Anyone that's tells you the origin...

Ahh the dreaded test...then the elation at a pass.
Car looks a right bruiser Dave, I like it.
I'd bin the power steering too , my 66 had it, too light.
The 65 was manual ,great solid feel to it.
The 49 Plymouth is manual.......ship ahoy!!!

Times square crash

Anyone seen the CCTV of the crash. I was there last year and have said to people the place is gridlocked most of the time, can't see how you could get up any speed.
Having seen it, jeez I'm surprised there wasn't more killed.
Drugged up scumbag.

Exactly the same Robtwin. Mines a 49. They made them till March 1949 in that body, called them 1949 first series ,then went to the more severe coupe look. Same as the Ramcharger car in the pic before.
Sorry, it maybe an iconic early Ramcharger car but it's horrible. To me anyhow.

Fancied a change for a bit, will run it this summer. If I like plodding around ,I will buy a pipe and trilby and resign from the MMA. If no...
