Couple of bits left over...

Giving the garage a clean out I found this seal from the box of bits when I purchased my Challenger, its about 52" long or (1.3208 m)
Looks to me like a bonnet or (Hood) seal. Any one got a picture in its place??
Cheers,

Went to see the engine builder and he was not in the shop his partner seem to think that the Big Block had hydraulic lifters??? If I removed the rocker cover and took a photo could anyone tell if its solid or hydraulic lifters.?

Yep that makes sense, adjust one cylinder when hot then let cool down take a reading and adjust all the other seven to the same.
I will talk to the engine builder to see what the correct setting should be.

Ajusting tappets / Rockers

I have done about a thousand miles on my 383 after a complete rebuild. It has ported 906 heads and on the rebuild I had billet rockers installed.
On adjusting the tappets do the Yanks call that pre-load on the lifters? Can I adjust the tappets while the motor is cold @ .020 to .021??

Really nice looking AMX, love the Plumb Crazy, a bold choice but paid off.
Buy the way, what are the Nat's or even racing at the Nat's, is it a 1/4 mile drag??

Wow that is a tight fit.... thanks for the visual.
I am going to miss the integral garage we have in the states, four car, 3 aside and 1 tandem.
