Steve I will fight to the grave to keep my classic. It's my passion and I'm not having anyone ruin my fun. There is no point saving this planet anyway because the sun is always expanding and will make it inhabitable eventually. Pretty sure I heard that somewhere.

I get your point James but having it and using it may become two different things in the not to distant future. It's pretty much out of our hands in my eyes and eventually our cars will just be ornaments that won't move. I can't see the Government making any effort at all to keep us on the road using petrol at 12mpg when they want to be a World leader in becoming carbon neutral in a few years. Just my thoughts and hope I'm wrong.

Anyway, let's use them and enjoy them while we can. I've got a couple of small jobs to do on mine this week, a weekend run, then a day out with a local car club on 'drive it' day. Might pop in a couple of small evening runs too as the weather looks good over Easter. Can't wait to see some pics of your Corvette out and about...cheers :thumbright:

I drove with the roof panels off. Not a cloud in sight able to block the sun. \:D/

What a stunning car that is James and glad you are out and about again. Did you get your starter issue sorted OK?

Same to you steve. Lucky you cruising around scotland while the roads here are quite busy. We put a new starter motor on and replaced fuel hoses now it starts on the button. Went to wheels day yesterday it was a great turnout.

That's great James, glad you got sorted. Pretty easy fix in the end. Did you go down the High torque mini starter route or stay with a stock one? The pics from Wheels day won't open for me unfortunately

Went with stock. We took the door apart and cleaned out the mechanism the other day. Today we put it all back together and now all door functions work correctly. Really nice to work on a car and it be hot outside.
