Stunning car Blue, absolutely gorgeous from all angles. I bet you really are chuffed with how she is coming together. Love this thread. As always, your work and vision are outstanding!

Just out of interest, are you using or have you tried 'Steele Rubber Parts' for your window parts?

Not used them Steve, I had a look but I don’t think they carried everything I needed or maybe the price wasn’t right so I went with Summit. Still came unstuck as the window felts were on long back order so I cancelled those and bought off eBay only to be told after a month they wouldn’t have stock till March…

I used them when I was doing my old 66 Fury and they were very good. They had everything I needed and shipped quickly. Certainly not the cheapest but top quality stuff. Sure you will be OK Blue, looks like everything in life is in short supply these days :(

Slightly different to the eBay risk a few years ago, looks like such a tidy car. Very tasteful colour and changes 8-)

You got it at the right time, finding a complete 68 fastback now for under $10k is very unlikely.

Thanks Steve, I was really wanting to pay considerably more for a car needing less work but you can only buy what's available.

Low pressure oil warning light, a very good idea if you are racing. A specific sender unit will illuminate it at 25psi giving you time to turn the engine off before it blows up. I didn’t want to make a feature of it but it needs to be in your field of vision so up by the rear view mirror is the best I could come up with. It’s LED so it’s nice and bright.

I’m fitting the 408 I built for the Valiant Steve. Vintage fender covers fetch strong money these days and often only come up in singles. I’m after a pair of these Plymouth covers if some ever turn up at a sensible price…

Ah, sorry, I struggle to remember who is doing what these days (and what I'm doing most of the time). That will be a monster! Those covers are really cool. I may be setting my sights to high on those babies, I'm sure something will pop up somewhere eventually.

Yes the pic was from that ad, 5 years ago that was probably the going rate but they are more than double that now if you can find them.
