What paint have folks had most success with for restoring dash bits?
Want to retain the Matt finish on the black and not sure where to start on the silver, whether to paint or not.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

Re: What paint?
I used a silver paint pen, it’s not chrome but it looks ok.

Re: What paint?
I painted all mine last year as some bright spark thought it would be a good idea to paint everything gloss black After a million hours masking I nipped down to that well known automotive supplier The Range for some Plasti Kote aerosols. For the silver bits I used the brighter shade of wheel silver and the chrome got a coat of their "chrome" spray, which is really just a very bright silver, looks acceptable to me. I'd use matt black for your black bits. I cleaned and keyed it with a washing up scourer & the wife's toothbrush and hot soapy water before masking it.

I hope you bought her a new toothbrush.
Cheers both. It’s the chromey plastic coating I’m most puzzled by, but that sounds a decent option.

Re: What paint?
I can’t remember what I had for tea yesterday, let alone poss from 2012.
I’ve been doing extensive behind the scenes research on this and there are some very good options, but as with anything, the best ones ain’t cheap.
Funnily enough, I did spot alclad but thought it looked a bit too god to be true for the money.
Of course, it would cost me an airgun too...

An airgun? Are you gonna paint it or use it for target practice?
