Foam gaskets

Post by Stu »

Before I pay a million squids to get fresh ones imported, the taillight clusters on my car have what looks like high density foam gaskets between the units and the body.

Doesn’t look rocket science to cut, if I can find some suitable sheet. Internet searches flag up a gazillion options.

Anyone any idea exactly what it is I’m looking for and where I can buy a sheet big enough?

TIA as ever. :thumbright:

2mm sponge rubber sheet off eBay would do the trick I reckon.

Sponge rubber sheet sounds promising, but definitely more than 2mm. I’ll measure up tomorrow, but I reckon 5-6mm.

You will need a sharp blade to cut out the gaskets and if you are anything like me, mind your fingers

Ah, gotcha.

No cutting needed, ordered the correct gaskets in the end. :thumbright:

:D :D :D :D

From memory, a good guy to deal with. Looks like his business has taken off. When I ordered rear tail light gaskets for my Fury the guy was laser cutting them in his spare time from originals used as patterns. Good company to have in the contact list.

Cheers Steve :thumbright:
