Despite the rain and mud some Mopars did make it to the show. Not as many as I would have hoped, so there may be rather a lot of shots of the same 3 cars....well done for supporting our side Phill, Glen and Justin. I did see a couple of Roadrunners leave early as I arrived, so no pics of them I'm afraid. Plenty of Jap cars though! Was testing out the 'Super Tripod' for that elevated perspective and to get as much sky out of the pics as possible, just incase anyone thinks I am 12ft tall

enlighten us as to how you get the shot when the camera is 12ft up in the air. You got telescopic eyes as well?

Not quite Neil, just a remote viewing screen with shutter release that lets me see what the camera sees

How do you pan/tilt focus etc remotely?

With a 17mm lens at f8 Dave there is very little need to focus on anything as 6ft to infinity will be in focus when focussed just inside the infinity mark. I would love a motorised head with remote control but that is something I will have to wait for, the weight would be to much for the stand I use, it's a nice lightweight stand that is very portable and fits on my rucksack. With the setup I am using , as long as the camera is basically level it is just a case of moving the stand forward or back, up or down to get the composition right. It sway a bit in the wind but that doesn't matter much with a very wide angle lens.

Had a word with Rich at the show and he definately wants to cover your car in the mag....so as soon as my man get's the rig built I will be round to see you, and Simon, and Phill....probably not all on the same day but we will see.
It was raining pretty hard before I got there so it was very muddy and slippery...rain stayed off though.
