Now heres a question??
last night, I got asked the question how much power am I putting out? Good question,
I have no idea. How much grunt should I be expecting (or not) from my engine? For a re-cap, its a 318 stroked by .010 via an offset grind, has 340 'J' heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust (polished) valves, a Comp Cams 268H cam (Duration: 268/268 @ .050": 218/218 Valve Lift: .454/.454), 600 sec vac Holley on an Edelbrock performer intake, headers of unknown make (look the same as hookers) and electronic ignition.

Your right Dave sorry, that is advertised duration. Actual duration @.50 is 218. This is the info on the stick that I have.

When you ask how much power are you putting out, you mean at the wheels ?
Kev is probably about right ... 180-190.
Plus, remember that the 1970 figures were gross, in other words, on a dyno with no exhaust system and minimal ancillaries.
Hence, your factory 230hp was probably actually 175-180, and by the time it got to the wheels, probably about 140.
