thanks phil yes please are u going to the hotrod drags.
thinking of painting the roadrunner the same colour as the chevy red.or black or yellow or candy! cant make my mind up.
wheels woulld like to go 20s 18s rocket booster from northants. but checking any pictures of roadrunners i can find, the stance doesnt look right will probably stick to 10x15 7x15 ally 5spokes what do you think.

REALLY hope so mate, it depends if Kiwi and I can find and fix the two major oil leaks I have, one on the trans and an engine one.

I quite like the 20" rims look. Wouldn't be pimp my ride if you pick the right wheels i.e. not all gold n chrome.

I'd like to do similar to the charger but as it's a lee i need to stick with the 15" Vectors.

i think if i go for big rims it should be with a decent profile tyre , i agree rubber bands look Bananarama!.the roadrunner you have posted looks good this is possibly what i was aiming for. with the taller profile tyre as in the 70s roadrunner pics.

Hi Richard i can well believe it took that long. what a fantastic car, i enjoyed our conversation at the mopar nats. i'm hoping the car will be on the road for the next mopar nats. dont think i couldn't last that long without a car to have 1/4 fun with. im off for two weeks from this weekend so it should be in paint soon. i think its going to be red.

Hi Nick, good to meet you at the Sun on thursday. Original Sunflower sounds good. Stick with 15's and fat rubber. Big rims are for pimps... :thumbright: Amazing progress mate. Either you've got a lot of spare time on your hands, or no Mrs and kids... :D

thanks dave b and gringo and simon. get the hints think i will go for keystone classics (trying to keep a standard but slightly modified look.
7 x15 front 10X15 rear with bfg tyres 295/50x15 rear and 235/70/15 front. donnington raceway have a good price for the wheels and northants for the tyres. i like the rocket igniter wheels but they only do a 8X15

Hi gringo nice to meet you at the sun. your close about plenty of time . i work shifts for the RAC which gives me time off in the week when the wife is working ( 12 hours solid time on the roadrunner)
having a understanding wife and grown up kids helps. and of course buckets of enthusiasm. when i sold the chevy a big wedge of cash went into the family kitty hence the wife is happy. strange she's not about again today think she's shopping again!
i restored a 1969 pontiac gto 20 years ago, when both my sons were just born took nearly 3 years. this one will be at the mopars next year.
