my response of I am a Weeble illicited no comment from corporate affairs team

we have a weather hot line (answer machine)....which we must call to see if we should attempt to come in on tretcherous roads......

2 miles from the m25 (allways clear (of snow at least) for the last 5 years) in a highly populated area....the chances of any of the road round here becoming blocked or impassable due to snow is minimal

the chances of them being blocked by idiots is huge

can't help feeling more people would actually turn up if they made less fuss

and its not actully snowing and has not yet.....

so two of my team have said they won't come in tomorrow if it snows because nobdy grits their streets.....

We had another 4-5 inches last night on top of the existing snow which had compacted down into ice on the roads.

2am I woke up to the sound of a revving engine and lots of swearing.
Outside my house is a Renault Cleo Sport trying to go forwards or backwards with a guy pushing.
A few yards further on was a Merc facing the opposite direction also stuck.

They were using low gears and lots of revs. Exactly the opposite of what you should do.

I went back to bed but after another half hour of this outside my bedroom window i decided to get up and offer to tow them to a better road.

Can you believe they refused my help? In fact all but one completely ignorned me.
I wanted shot of these knackers so i insisted they except my help. On my third attempt to get through to them they excepted. I wonder if they thought I was offering just to call a tow company? Or maybe they were just as thick as they looked.

I couldn't find a tow hitch on the Remault I could use. It had some sort of square hole? So I slung a rope around one rear shock, told them to steer as best they could, and I dragged the bar steward sideways with the Jeep for three blocks and around several turns to a main road.
I think they were freaking out a bit in the car as it swung around behind me ploughing the road. :D

Then I went back and pulled the Merc out too. That guy didn't even thank me. But what the hell It was quiet in the street now so i had a cup of tea and back to bed. :thumbright:

Couldn't fault the Jeep. I wasn't getting any tyre spin and it didn't feel like I was towing anything.
