I saw it (the GTX) at a Hot Rod & Custom UK meet at Thruxton I think, where I took those pics. I remember the headers set fire to the grass it parked on!!
I had the Custom Cars pics of it on my bedroom wall as a yoof....
Come to think of it I might have had a pic of John Mills car there as well.

1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Wimbledon White. Currently a 302 auto but to be 410 4 speed.
Just to resurrect this thread...Lord of the Rings lived in Simpsons Garage in North Wembley...other side of the bridge from the Hopbine Rockin Pub

First time i saw it i couldnt believe it i was about 12 and it had a tubbed rear too if i remember...mad frosty green colour...just looked awesome ...and the Noise when they started her up
That was desision made had to have a car similar that when i could
Then one day i went to seeit and it was gone ...gutted never saw it again so where did it go ??

Yes Ivor at somepoint in time while the Lord was there they had 2 Hemi cars in there....
just remember that as i didnt know what a HEMI was really age 12
Only knew it as the Mental Engines as were in the Top fuel/ Funny cars I saw at that age
