One for the camper van fans

Post by Steve »

Heres a few pics of one of our 'Dads n Lads' projects we thought you might like to see.....My lad Alex loves making stuff with wood etc so we decided to make a VW camper beach trolley. Used on the beach but now a woodworking tool chest with all his tools in.....was great fun and a great to do a project together.... Its pull along with a hinged roof, roofrack, and it colapses flat for transportation in the caravan. My daughter found a big 'beach bum' sticker for the back window but no pic of that yet

Cheers, Steve and Alex

Cheers Sam....its a bit heavy loaded up on the beach but great on grass/ tarmac etc! Al did a lot of it with some help from me when it came to using power tools etc but he really did graft at it, sanding etc and he had some great ideas during the design and planning stage. Like our engine build (slow as waiting for a honing tool from mate), its great to just kick back and tinker instead of glued to TV or Playstation!
