Rob'n'Stu's Brookie pics

Post by RobTwin »

Bit late to the party with the pics, but not had much time this week to sort them out

Plus my poor old laptop is on a go-slow these days so doing the copy'n'paste from photobucket to here can be a laborious processsss :sleepy2:

With last year being the first time we'd attended without bringing either the Sport Satellite or the Polara (the former not being quite back together and the latter not being quite out of hibernation  ), we were all the more keen this year to get both cars there. In fact, this was the first time we'd managed that since we've had the two (nearly 9 years now  ). Did £60 of gas in each car tho, and it was my turn to fill up, so all in, it cost me £120 to get both cars there. Plus entrance fee, so thats a round £150

Seemed to spend most of the time chatting to old friends and new, rather than looking round at the cars and exhibits, but it was good to put faces to names... Dave81, Mossy, Carl, AdrianP.

Must make a quick mention, but big thanks to the MMA members who voted for the Satellite and gave us a Top 5 award, so surprised what with all the other great cars there. My favourite? Got to be the Monteverde AAR that Martin Savile brought along. Thanks Martin, worth the effort just to see that :notworthy:

The pics are a mixture of mine & Stu's, and I think between us we've covered everything. Not that we're short of pics on here, but I may as well throw these into the mix...

First lot. Some more to follow if the laptop wants to play ball

Hi Sam, yes, that's me.... or us - we share the two cars. Stu looks after them in his garage so gets to do most of the work :D but we try & share the costs.

You going to Brands Hatch next week, or the Nats? We'll must have a chat one day... :thumbright:

Thanks Donny, I agree - work of genius wasnt it! Couldnt resist getting the two 43's in the same pic(s) 8-)

I remember thinking, when you drove off to load your car at the end of the day, how great it's going to be at Brands, to see and hear you doing the parade laps. That's gonna blow 'em away! 8-)
