I'm old enough to remember when it first moved to Columbus from Ann Arbor, Michigan!! We went to the Ann Arbor event in 1985.....has changed a lot since then!

You're not wrong, I got Mr Norms autograph in 1995 , he still looked relatively young then, I saw him at the MACAN musclecar show In chicago in 2012 and he looked proper old....

Would of been good to go in the 80's before everything got restored and there were still some street machine type cars there :thumbright:

Getting to the Nats is easy enough. The problem is accommodation. The nearby hotels are fully booked months in advance. It is worth remembering that many people cancel their bookings at the last minute, so rooms can be found if you are prepared to risk it.

The place to be in the evenings is about five miles from the Nats at a town called Heath. The evening cruise and burnouts, and the get together at the local Dodge dealer is great fun.

If you've never been, just go!

Haven't been for a few years, but we used to fly direct to Cincinnati or Cleveland, which are only a couple of hours away. Or get an internal flight to Columbus.

If you're stuck for accommodation, try Zanesville OH, which isn't far away.
