A friend sent me this picture of a third generation Charger which was run at Kings Lynn Stock Car Track today!Anyone recognise the car, seems like a waste to me?

Value of them has just gone up then.........one less in existence!

I do find it weird that they still choose classic cars for such an event?

I just cannot get my head around why they get pleasure from such activity, I just think it sad and unnecessary

Rot can be cut out and replaced with new, everything's fixable just takes a bit of thinking and time...

Problem is older cars have more bulk? for want of a better word...modern stuff wouldn't last a lap

Banger racers have no sentimentality, they just find any old car cheap enough to race and smash up for the pure pleasure of the sport, ive seen MK10 and Mk2 Jags and Daimlers as well as old Bentleys and Rollers raced and smashed up, and im sure enthusiasts for those cars are also saying, why?

To see it fold up like that it has to be rotten as hell.

i'm sure there is an all Yank banger race this year somewhere.

also some banger racers aren't short of a few quid and will pay good money for a race car. usually though they will swap good panels for rot panels so it's worth keeping your ear to the ground :thumbright:
