Wouldnt say that Super Sloth, I can cut it out , remains to be seen if I can weld the new panels back in

Panels welded in, not the neatest of jobs ( bar a few good runs

) but its strong and with a coat of seam sealer it wont be seen

Did find this under the rear floor and a similar one attached to the gearbox casing

And this in the rear seat squab , complete with mouse Bananarama!

Good to see you're making progress, though.

As a matter of interest, how did you remove that rear seat? I had a brief look with a torch at mine earlier and couldn't see anything obvious inside because someone suggested it'd be a good place to hunt for a broadcast sheet?

As far as I know you just pull up on the bottom front edge of the bottom part of the seat - it's not fixed in place with any screws. Then when that part is out you can lift the back part up, as it's located on sheet metal tags which are part of the bracing behind the seat.

At least that's how our b-bodies are done

The lower part of the seat is held in by hooks on the floor, one on each side. You have to push/kick it rearwards to disengage it and it will then lift right out.

well done dean ,nice work,a light tidy up with a soft disc ,and will look great ,not that anyone is going to see it ,id love to come round ,but them funnel web spiders that have come out of them casings from under your car ,are probably breeding in your garage
