CH Chrysler by chrysler - auto trans anyone?

Post by CLPete »

Evening All, I am trying to get my CH Chrysler-by-Chrysler back on the road. I purchased it a few years back, with a faulty auto trans (not working in drive). I’m on the lookout on the off chance that someone might have a working spare that they’d be prepared to sell. Bit of a long shot, I know!

Failing that, would anyone have an automatic transmission recondition company that they’d care to recommend?

Old one is out now, so it's time for the next step.

Duncan Watts ("Cannonball" on here) is a Gearbox specialist.

You may need to ID your box, or take some pictures and post them up here for identification.

904 if its a 318
small block 727 if its A 360
will have the funky 2.77:1 ratio rear end with the 4 spider gear centre as well.

or it should....long legs, big pinion head, offset ring gear flange, and a bit more robust than the other aussie rears

but then again if its been here since day one you could have anything in there....

Hi all, thanks for your feedback. I've been tied up over Christmas, so couldn't reply.

Here is the original transmission:

The spare I had is here - slightly different.
