We didn't go with the pressings for drains, we decided to stick larger holes in instead so they hopefully won't get clogged. Yeah there is a lot going on at the door catch isn't there
It'll be getting a good dose of waxol blasted in every nook and cranny once done.

I am confident that I have the talent. Just time, lack of tools , and a place to work are my frustrations!!!!, to name a few
Hopefully one day. And it’s threads like this that keep me positive

Re: Lots of Love Needed (A Tall Order)
Been working on the front suspension lately, stripped everything down for a clean and repaint and decided to make my own Lca stiffening plates while I was at it. Also I'm going to Poly bush the front end and the instructions said to reuse the inner sleeves of the Lca bushes, errrr don't think
I like that idea... made some new ones instead. Last pic is new vs old.

My mum's popped down from the island for a couple of weeks and she's brought me a pressie.....
One auto transmission now sits on my garage floor
What do the numbers on the bellhousing relate to?

Love the LCA strengtheners--they look better than the ones I got from P.S.T
Could have done with the nice sleeves you made??
Lovely job

Re: Lots of Love Needed (A Tall Order)
Costal photo can only be one reason for that
Currently on the MV Hebrides sailing from Uig, Skye to Tarbert, Harris...my usual Ullapool/Stornoway ferry was looking dodgy due to bad weather.
Looking forward to having another week of cutting, welding and grinding. Brothers booked the week off as well

Small update, made a start on the o/s rear chassis rail which was beyond patching. So it was cut out and a template drawn up. I'd had some Z sections folded back in March so we set about marking out and shaping.... B****cks cuts were on the wrong side
Now we had originally planned for changing both rear rails and had enough prefolded sections for this. So we spent a good bit of time inspecting the n/s rail and are happy it's solid and does not warrant replacing.
Phew back to shaping the o/s rail with the now spare material.
Two sides were made which were then clamped in place and when happy with the fit, tacked together. The rail was then removed to be fully welded and a couple of drain holes added.
We now have a assembly ready to fix in place Monday, it's the Sabbath here so no noisy work today.

Re: Lots of Love Needed (A Tall Order)
As its a quiet day here on the island it was decided to strip the engine down. This was for a couple of reasons, first was to gauge its condition and secondly to make it easier to throw it in the back of my daily and bring it home.
Considering how long and where its sat I'm happy with the condition. Although it has raised a couple of questions...
