Pete wrote: Tue Nov 27, 18 5:10 pm I don't have an answer for you but I am sure some of our '70 Charger owners will be able to advise you.
I presume you checked out the eye watering cost of the electric actuators from the likes of yearone or classicindustries, and their kits still work off the original vacuum headlamp switch so only half a job in my book

70 Charger uses a single electric motor mounted centre behind the grill, there’s a square drive rod that goes left and right to open/close the doors, I’m not sure how easy it would be to adapt to the 69 doors/grill, they are different for sure, you’d also need a 70 headlamp switch, different to 68/69, it’s all electric and has additional pins to open / close the doors

If you wanted to go that route, best way would be to check out a 68/69 and a 70 side by side, I’m sure we could arrange that sometime, or I can grab some photos of mine for you

Incidentally why do you need to replace them, not working?? More often than not a perished vacuum hose is the culprit

Another solution is shown here, follow the ‘Norway Charger’ link …

Yes I've priced them up on classic industries and Ive looked around for other actuators like norway charger used.
I just fancied electric because it would operate smoother but I can repair the vacuum system, like you say it wouldn't be hard to fix. At the minute the passenger side doesnt open very well you have to poke it.
I get the car tomorrow so I'll have a propper look 👍🏻

I'm not 100% sure but I am reliably informed it is. What do you know about the white hat?? I'm very interested. I only got it today, maybe the original build sheet is hiding under the seats.
