RIP Jerry Lancaster and funeral details

Post by MattH »

I have recently been advised that Jerry Lancaster passed away on the 18th November, age 61.

He was known by many in the UK Mopar fraternity, particularly for his yellow 68 Dart GTS 340, with which he won the Burnout Competition with at the Mopar Euronats in 1996. This car is still in safe hands and in the club.

Jerry's funeral will be on Monday 10th December at 2.15pm at
West Chapel
Cambridge Crematorium,
Huntingdon Road
Cambridge
CB3 0JJ
No flowers please but donations in aid of the Royal British Legion which Jerry was very supportive of.
Donations can be via https://www.newlingsofroyston.co.uk/in-memory-pages
then search for Lancaster.

If anyone would like to contact Jerry's widow Jill, I have her contact e-mail. PM me please.

This is sad news indeed.
Jerry was a previous owner of my Coronet, and frequently berated me for not getting close to his best ET. He was a proper lead foot, and definitely drove these cars the way they were meant to be driven.
Thoughts are with his family.
RIP

Sorry to hear this. I remember buying some parts from him years ago, seemed like a really decent guy. That’s no age either. Condolences to his family and friends.
