That's a fairly bold extension of the idea that we only really ever become 'custodians' of these old cars and at this stage in their extended lives they are likely to get passed on again and again. Why not lease the parts too if they are non-consumable... I quite like that.Super Sloth wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 20 10:49 amNot for sale, eh?
What would you charge if I wanted to lease a blue one?
Alternatively, I know loads of people who have lost SERIOUS money in investments and pensions ( I know someone who has seen a 40% fall in the last week!!) - whereas I would suggest a complete collection of these wheels is likely to keep going up. I think 'Blue Investments' could be one to watch.

Yes they made light and dark blue, and before anyone asks none of them are for sale it's taken me years to collect all the colours.

Well, maybe a little.

Re: Blue's Valiant
Cool vintage stuff like this has very little value in the UK, I doubt any of these wheels would fetch a fraction of the price I had to pay in the States to get them, and probably never will.

It's great that you can do it for the love Dunc, the whole nostalgia scene benefits from having cars with history here in the UK.

Carbs rebuilt with billet baseplate and whittled a return spring bracket, better sort out the plug leads next and fire this mess up!

That does look super tidy under there, will have to take some tips for getting the pick up bay tidier, too many wires.

I love the Rod actuation - I know how hard it is to get the right pedal ratio - top job!!
I KNOW the significance of the sticker, but I think I would remove it as it detracts from the clean bay...
