I have tried to decode my tag a few times over the years but the info on 64s is a bit sketchy as Dodge codes are different from Plymouths and the net seems to confuse the two on most forums ..So whilst i had a bit of time googling i decided to google 1964 tag pictures ...Several came up but i needed to see some that were connected to known cars ...well i came across this tag on the net of a car that was for sale and the tag had been decoded with a letter of authentication ...... the second row is the important bit 143 which is a 426 Street wedge 4bbl ,4 speed hurst shifter option .....Well you could not believe it my numbers have just come up ......bingo result
The nicely painted one is of the car for sale the messy one is mine ,i have become an anorak ,a vin licker a sad Bananarama! but i shall wear the badge with pride have a happy new year
