I’ll have a go at adjusting a bit and see what happens.

How are you finding manual vs power .. not too heavy ??
What made you decide to change ?
It's only really heavy when getting out and into the my drive, but I'll get used to that. I changed so I could get more feel from the steering, might change back to a bigger steering wheel though, just for comfort, lol

Hello Folks.
Been off the scene for a while - life getting in the way as usual.
One thing I have managed to do though is put on a Holley sniper EFI.
Complete schebang - sniper dizzy, hyper spark, in-tak pump, CD box - the whole lot.
Few RF niggles, but otherwise very pleased.
Starts like a modern car now - even if sat for months on end. Just fires right up.
Fuel economy is much improved also.
I'll do a write up at some point.

Anyhow - I have two latest problems :

Trans is leaking somehting rotten (727).
Changed the sump pan and put on a beefy neoprene gasget.
But no joy. There's fluid all over the place, so its next to impossible to find out where it's comming from.
And its all baked on to the exhaust - so its a right old sticky mess under there.

I've also noticed a couple of weeping core plugs (340)
Where 1 leaks others are sure to follow - so that needs sorting.

So - plan is to pull the engine and trans.
That way I should be able to get to all the core plugs, and change all the trans seals.
Also gives me the oportunity to have a good old clean up underneeth and tidy up the engine bay.

I've never pulled an engine before - so I'm a little aprehensive.
But I've got some willing help and done lots of reading, so I'm reasonably confident.
Slow and steady !

The main problem at the minute though is sourcing parts.
Sourcing core plugs seems easy enough - brass ones are the way to go I gather ... but I'm having difficulty finding trans seals.
All the kits I've seen are for re-builds.. which I don't need, and are quite expensive !
.. and I'm not sure all 727s are alike !
So any tips on a "fix leaks" kit ?? UK supplier ? ... or things to look out for generaly ?

Need to get this motor going soon before the wife sells it !
