Frame measurement tollerance?

Post by Wolfman »

So, I am doing a bit on mine and I wanted to measure things up a bit. As they are all new bits going on I don't want it crooked, as it has had one up the arse towards the O/S, at some time in its past. . It is a bit redneck the way I have had to do it, ie Level car front to back and side to side. I found it hard as it is still fitted up. Then I found the wife's vileda mop an excellent size for the datum holes  I have found it is square with the plumbob marks on floor and the frame length is the same. The only question I have for you guys is the right frame rail is about 3/16 or 5mm lower than the left. I think this is within tolerance for a Mopar, what is your advice?

Firstly I don’t know what the tolerances are but I would be wanting to work to an 1/8” if possible. If you can correct it by jacking stuff around then Personally I’d do it.
