So I cleaned up the chrome trim strips and fitted them and yes, pretty happy with that
Re: Dom's 66 Coronet 500
Really like that, it’s all in the details.

that looks great, i'd be well happy with that.
on those tv programs they steam the trim and it tightens it up. if you have one of those handheld steam cleaners maybe give it a go?

Wow, that’s really finished it off well!
Great job there.

neil.
Depends what the material is, mostly plastic and it doesn’t work. That used to be the trick with headliners, whatever it is that they make them from these days steaming does nothing.

Re: Dom's 66 Coronet 500
So, armrests... The originals are pretty awful, distorted with crumbling foam. So I've carved out some new ones from some wood I had lying around. Now bear with me here, I think they'll look alright once they get covered....remains to be seen though
I turned up a set of mounting bobbins for them nonetheless.
And fitted them to the already prepared rear mounting plate thingys.
The completed panels (sans armrests for now) do look much better...
And mean I have finally replaced the rear seats and belts, a big move forward
Re: Dom's 66 Coronet 500
I can see where you are headed, nicely stitched covers and you have some sharp looking armrests.

Re: Dom's 66 Coronet 500
Work has been getting in the way of work again... I have managed to wrap the armrests though, I think they'll look OK. Still have the front door cards to make.
