Well, I won’t be winning any painter of the year awards anytime soon, but it looks a hell of a lot better than it did, so I’m happy! :thumbright:

Before and after. The future’s bright….! :)

Thanks all. :thumbright:

The pictures make it look better than it is, to be honest. Needed a lot more prep, but time and the fact that it’s just under the hood meant it would do for now.

Yep, it is bloody heavy! Be glad when the new one shows up, but I’ll have to do that one properly… :help:

Cheers! Like a say, not pretty up close, but don’t think anyone will pay a blind bit of notice as it doesn’t draw the eye anymore.

Nope… APPD have let me down badly, 11th day since order and their communication is abysmal. Like getting blood out of a stone. If you can actually get a return email or message at all, it’s a couple of words, then nothing.

Won’t use them again. Waiting to see if it turns up today.

In the meantime, I have had a Chinese one arrive, with the carb end fitting I want, but pedal end is wrong. Just trying to work out if I can adapt it or not. Only have tonight to get it done!

You will probably be able to just drop the cable into the pedal and then use a small jubilee clip to stop it coming out again, the Clevis itself isn’t going to work.

Not sure I follow that.

The fitment is the type where it goes through the back of the pedal and a plug traps the ball end, if that makes sense? Not sure how you mean a jubilee clip would hold it.

Or I might be being thick, which is entirely possible!

I've got one of those to work , just finished it a couple of days ago. I used the stock plastic fitting that goes through the bulkhead and had the nipple at the end of the cable going through the gas pedal. Let me see if I can get a pic up. You end up having to cut the outer.
