Haha
24 like every one else! Lol
However I’m 69 so time is very precious and any spare hour is on the car,
Had to do some shuffling around today as I wanted to fit my subframe,
It’s a big heavy lump and I’m single handed so some creativity is definitely needed!
Reasonable pleased with the fit, just a quick centre and the level was pretty close , may need to shim but require much better fitting alignment pins
Which I’ll have to make I guess ?
My very last restoration!!!

Re: My very last restoration!!!
Absolutely!
Everywhere I can stick the probe!
Old school but it bloody works,
The spinning tip thingy works very well providing one gets the waxoly nice a warm ,
But obviously at this stage everything is done oil and grease free, so getting things like door hinges the side about it a challenge!
I’m currently still buying stuff, my exhaust is inbound from summit,
Radiator is my next order but I’m very unsure which way to go?
Start traditional copper/brass etc, or go Aluminium
These old dogs can and do run hot so maybe electric fans etc
But Hav’nt decided yet !
Any opinions from you guys would be appreciated!

Re: My very last restoration!!!
an ally rad can be 'stealth' if painted satin black. also it's hard to beat a stock style mechanical clutch fan with a decent/original cowling.

Re: My very last restoration!!!
Yes this is my feeling, keep it simple etc, however my car being a 70’ has no clutch on the fan , old school direct drive,
In to a full shroud ,
I could get my one recored I guess but there’s seemingly no one local anywhere,
Ironically my wife’s first husband ran East Kent Rads !

Re: My very last restoration!!!
is there a clutch fan from another year that'll fit the '70. it only bolts to the water pump same as a solid fan so.....
