Chrysler mechanic in Kent

Post by Hankman »

Just had a great experience with an independent Chrysler mechanic in Higham - Kent. I needed someone brave enough to tackle replacement of strut rod bush kit and control arm bushes on my 1983 Chrysler LeBaron. Not many mechanics want to know in case the job goes wrong...

Terry is lovely fella and was willing, even though he's really more into modern Chryslers and Jeeps.

A1 Chrysler Ltd,
Canal Rd, Higham,
Shorne, Rochester
ME3 7JA
Kent

07437 583783

I've attached pics of what he did for my car

All the best!

Haha yes - Terry at A1 Chrysler had to use brute force and heat to get the metal sleeves out.

I've ordered some NOS bolts from the US as he said the old ones were okayish but ideally needed replacing, for peace of mind.

Also managed to locate some NOS Mopar-branded anti-roll bar/sway bar bushes as he said the old ones are very baggy and cracked now.

There's a clear pass MOT for 2020 when this car was imported by the previous owners and there's no way it was genuine.... The car was a death trap when I bought it - tie rods mullered into the rack, shredded CV gaiters, leaking shocks, and more. That's all been done over the last year. I'm in over my head on money but I'll know it's safe and reliable for any future owners.

Cheers 👍
