that's normal. just a bit of drag from the oil.



if the wheels are on the ground and it's moving in neutral then you have an issue, but usually you can't get gears then anyway

if all else seems normal then I'd say the gearbox is fine. a new clutch may make the pedal effort lighter for more comfort.

Thanks all, waiting on rear drums and cylinders so I can get her over to my mates place. Drums were shot too. We will get it sorted. Got stuff on way from rockauto! I thought the shipping issue was Brexit but saw posts on another forum from Italy, Finland, Poland etc, so not just us.

BTW, Cultra hill climb on tomorrow from 9am. Live stream for those interested. Don't know what the weather is like for you but dire here. Cultra is the Ulster folk and transport museum, one of my old workplaces, may head over myself.. look up Ulster transport museum website. Will be in the wife's polo. Not the same.
