First time I met Mr Walton he was chasing around Essex Arena after a deal on Pete W's Hemi block. Lucky you didn't find him, eh? (PW!) We all collect parts then sell 'em on, part of the game innit! "My Cab's gonna have a 383 (sold on in bits), My cab's gonna have a 452 (sold on, in many, many expensive (for me
), parts), My cab's gona have a 358 ProCharger (Cab binned, engine in Oz!

They will ruin you, but are great fun on the way to poverty...............
"Hey man! I've got this quick fix to get your car going reeeeaaaallllll fast! Yeah, man, it's only £350 to get your fix, man! Once you've tried it you'll love it! No more to buy, man! Just the odd bottle fill! Cheap as chips, man! Give it a go, what's the worse that can happen? You chicken, man? Scared of a bit of inert gas, man? Go on, give it a go..........." etc etc.

Pete W they're really good heads, they ran 9.81 in our 2900ld roadrunner with a .620 flat tappet cam off the drugs, and ran 9.2 on a 125 shot, but the car ran 8.92 in the states, the cam let go damaging the block on the 9.2 run, we run a roller cam now and 440-1 heads and cant get it to run as sweet as that motor did
Pm me if you want the spec of the motor as it were with those heads

our motor was 493, kb ali block, eagle rotating assembly, 14.5-1 comp 620 cam, those heads, and a 1050 dommie, 2700ld car (2900ld with driver at full race weight), 4.56 gears, 32x14.5x15 slicks, and a trans brake it ran a best of 9.81 but when we were air shiftting it, it ran 9.9's every time, low 1.4 high 1.3 60ft times this was all no gas, we were creaping up on it with the gas and had run a few 9.4's, then the 9.2, the cam let go at 1000ft tho so we're sure it'd have been an 8 otherwise

What book are you reffering too?pete walton wrote: lots of compression, C12, lots of timing (ignore what the books say)
If you want to build a motor with stacks of spark lead it ain't gonna happen runnin 12:1 comp , why would you want to anyhow? , the motor will want what it wants , unless you wanna bleed off a bunch of compression with a stonkin cam , kind of defeats the object.
The motor should be built with the correct ammount of quench , unless you wanna band aid the motor. (nitrous different kettle)
You could always run Q16 & colder plugs, still why bother.
Good luck Pete . hope you 'find yerself' in you're quest for the 10s
Easy to make a fast car reliable, than a reliable car fast...as they say.Pete wrote: Its the "hybrid" cars that want to be street and strip that struggle the most, and as a result cost the most money.

Disagree.... IMHO It depends on the rise & fall rate, agressiveness of cam grind, spring seat pressure.AllKiller wrote:you aint gonna use a roller on the street in a Mopar...time bomb
