Well given the current state of the touring music industry, it looks like I may not have much of a job for at least another 12 months or so !

On the plus side, I am getting loads of stuff finished around the house. And I have some time to get the Coronet back together.

Hope to get the engine back in this week.

Cleaned off the old floor pan repairs and seam sealed them, ready for a quick coat of satin black to tidy them up a bit

Had a look inside the transmission , as I'd left it outdoors last year for a couple of weeks . Yes I know I'm bad....
No water damage anywhere except for a partially stuck Torque Converter control valve (which is pretty much the first thing in line to the atmosphere at the front) , which soon freed off.

Brilliant!

Is that the 500ci or the 440?

You make a transmission strip sound easy. I have a TH400 leaking lots but bit wary of dismantling.

727's are a lot easier to work on than a TH400...

Got all the parts out. Going to start on the wiring first I think.
Also wondering where on earth the steering box bolts have gone.

Corrosion removed, parts variously clear-laquered and painted. Not exactly 'correct' , but it's an improvement.
