The blue duster was george chiles' at the time then later owned by Andy Cockroft who painted george's runner and our belv, the yellow 68 runner is Olly's car the black tubbed one from the nats a few years ago, (it had front end damage) now painted blue (again by andy)

ps I'd like to post a pic of me in 85 but i was born a month after the picnic LOL

I find it strange too Adam (no, not the haircut), sure I got some of your car somewhere. Still more to sort thru.
Anyway whaddaya mean 'check the Barnet' ? It's the same today, innit?

Mark (JerryA) - Ta for the info on the yellow 68 RR, shouldve recognised the reg no, always loved seeing Olly's car in black, such a great piant job. Was that the one that had 'Sure route to destruction' painted on the decklid? Think I saw the damaged front but didnt know it's now in blue.

Havent got many pics of me at the Pod in '85 as I was behind me camera most of time. Could find 1 of Stu, that'll do I suppose

great to actually see a 73 with all its correct stripes on, any more pics of the grey 73 in the background with the vinyl roof, a reg number would be good??
Matt, and anyone else lookin in,
See the following which is copied from an email i received a couple of days ago...... may answer some questions!

Hi Rob
My name is Simon from York,Waiting to join MMA so hope you don't mind emailing you.
Just been looking at the Gary's picnic photos on the forum and spotted my old Challenger and others, here are the details I think:

85 picnic rr-chall jpeg is of Mark 'Olly' Holroyd's Road Runner which has a 383 auto last I heard and is now Black. He is from Halifax. The Challenger was mine, 340 4brl auto all original until I had a 383 put in it and painted it all Black,I was only 18 when I owned it!

Jason Monkey j peg, I used to know Jason many years ago,he used to knock about with a guy called John who was a postie and was building a race Duster, are they still in the scene? love to hear from them.(used to come down to North London most weekends) The trade mark was the three ducks in the back window, which they kindly let me put in my 70 Road Runner which I understand Duncan Cannonball Watts now has!

Steve Rawlings j-peg, tried to buy Steve's 70 RR but wouldn't sell in the end,so bought one from St Albans which I swapped with Jerry Smiths (Jerryatric UK)70 Cuda 4spd from Halifax and cash one way, cant remember.

73-70 Chall jpeg, this is my old Challenger on the left, and the Mustang is 'Spirit of America' which was owned by a guy called Doug from Bradford, the murals and paint work was amazing for the time!

Duster- RR j peg , is of George Childs Duster from Halifax (now has Maroon Road Runner) it had a 440 six pack in it ,racing Mark 'Olly' Holroyd from Halifax in his RR

Ha, just read page two of the thread telling you who owned the Blue Duster and Yellow RR,didn't know it was blue now.

I have just brought in a 66 Coronet with a tunnel ram'd 440 auto which will hopefully be for street and strip after some work.As soon as my MMA form is returned I hope to be on the forum!

Hope this is of some use

Regards

Simon

Thanks for letting me copy it here Simon, sounds like you know half of us on here already!
He should be collecting his Coronet tomorrow and has promised (remember that Simon, if you're reading this!) to send some pics, so I'll post them too.

Look forward to having you on here in person, mate!!
